Step 2If a player with a crafting profession doesn't have the matching gathering profession - or simply doesn't have enough time - they'll use the auction house to purchase the materials they need. This is how players with gathering professions will make their World of Warcraft gold. An addon like 'Auctioneer' can help you price your materials depending on your server's economy.

Step 3Some professions, like tailoring and enchanting, do not get the materials they need from gathering professions. Instead, they use materials found from looting the enemies they've killed, like cloth and special quality equipment. You can make a good amount of World of Warcraft gold by farming humanoid mobs for cloth and 'green' quality equipment to sell.

Step 4Even without a gathering profession, players with crafting professions can make lots of gold, too. By purchasing your materials for as little as possible, you can possibly craft items for a decent profit. It is best to examine your server's auction house to see if the items you want to sell actually do sell. You can also offer to craft other players' items with your materials for a fee, or with their materials with the chance of receiving a tip!

Step 5Some crafting professions can sell their unique materials for profit. For example, enchanters can sell their 'dust' that would normally be used for their enchants and jewelcrafters can sell their gems they find from prospecting their ore!
